Sculptural, decorative, and gestural expression are my primary concerns in making these pots. Each one functions as a vase, storage container or bowl, but my main interest in the relationship between pots and bodies- the bodies of people, animals, insects...
Pots are made with handbuilt and wheel thrown elements, and are altered by pushing, squeezing, pulling the clay. After bisque firing, they are often glazed in a raku kiln and/or smoke fired. They are 12-28” tall. Price range: $50-$350
