New Skin

Posted on

New skin can be found, and it is layered just under the skin you now see and feel. Nothing drastic here, but a gentle, natural kind of magic. Most of us can encourage new skin development if you regularly exfoliate the skin.

What is Exfoliation and can everyone exfoliate?

If your general skin health is good, and you suffer from no extreme skin conditions, you might be a candidate for reclaiming a youthful glow.

Exfoliating is the process of removing the very thinnest, top layer of what is already dead, dry skin. Sounds extreme, but having a regular, yet occasional, schedule of gentle dead skin removal is a good thing. This age old, world-wide beauty secret is something most men do to the lower half of their face every morning as they shave. Some use the word, “scrub,” to describe this; however, the word should not be taken literally. A gentle approach is always the best method. A part of your beauty arsenal, this cleansing ritual encourages the production of new dewy skin, as you remove the older layer and revel the hidden glow of fresh, lively skin. Instant youth! While this it might sound a bit harsh, it is actually healthy for skin, if your’s methods and products are gentle.

However, if you suffer from any condition, such as Rosacea, a serious skin disorder, exfoliation should not be attempted causally, and for some… not at all! Never make extreme changes during a flare-up. It is wise to first seek the advice of a medical care giver. Caution should be taken for those suffering from conditions of the skin such as Rosacea. While this practice can be a component of optimum skin health, it is not advisable for Rosacea patients without first consulting a medical doctor. Finding one who has experience with your condition is preferable, and ask for a referral is not. If you have any question about a possible skin disorder, you shouldn’t attempt any solution, without first researching the consequences of each beauty regiment. If medically cleared to proceed, I would also suggest you utilize the training of a professional esthetician. Always ask if this technician has a clear understanding in your underlining problem. A good professional can teach good practices.

When using a dry scrub or cleansing grain, only remove the amount needed for one application. Make sure you keep the remaining jar contents dry for future applications. Once exposed to moisture, spoilage is likely, especially if using an organic. Follow the directions, and avoid using multiple processes if this is the first time you attempt this procedure. Meaning don’t have a mask and a scrub on the same day and give yourself a break by waiting to see if you’ll have a poor reaction to the products you use.
